Everyone
is searching for the perfect favor for their wedding. But
a lot of Brides are now looking for their Favor to be useful
after the Wedding. You can have beautiful favors that are
functional and still remain within your Wedding budget. Here
are some ideas for favors that your guests can use after
the Wedding is over.
A
Frame
Most people in their home use Frames. You can frame almost anything. A good
idea would be to make a collage for each guest of things that represent the
happy couple. You could also frame an original poem written by the Bride and
Groom. An ever-popular idea is to frame a thank you or friendship poem and
attach a magnet so that your guest can hang them later.
Light
Bulb
This is definitely something everyone is going to need in their home and you
can’t have too many. They are also very affordable for you. You can either
package it in cellophane bags and tie it with some ribbon or just tie some
wire ribbon around the base of the bulb with a card attached, saying something
like “I have found the light of my life”.
CDs
A Bride or Groom can get these made or burn them at home. Choose your favorite
songs or your wedding music and your cover art. Then you have a favor guests
will listen to for years to come. If you want to get really creative record
a thank you message and burn it at the end of each CD.
Miniature
Tool Kit
Everyone will use one of these a couple times in their life. And if you can
find a supplier, you can purchase them for next to nothing. Put the tool kit
in a colorful sheer or satin bag and attach a poem about the maintenance and
construction of a marriage.
Clocks
These are great because you can get cheap miniature clocks at craft stores
for a reasonable price. They are also easy to decorate with a little paint
and a poem about time and love.
Magnet
You can create your own magnets from photos, decorated wooden objects, and
even laminated sheets of paper. Most people love these cute little magnets
and use them to hang things on the refrigerator.
Paintbrush
For one reason or another anyone who has a home will use a paintbrush. It is
a nice idea because you can come up with a lot of different poems about
the portrait of your marriage or the creation of a beautiful marriage.
You may want to attach little romantic painting postcards with your poem.
Kitchen
Utensils and Recipe Cards
This is simple. Give everyone a different utensil and make up a recipe for
a Happy Marriage, i.e. 1-cup of love; 2-cup communication; _ cup understanding,
etc…
These
are just a few ways to save money on favors and give guests
something they can use after the Wedding. These ideas are
